Play Days are designed for kids – from those just learning to compete to those who are already in competition – to play in a fun, non-threatening yet competitive environment.
Over a duration of a few hours, these events give kids the opportunities to play – whether they are getting ready for the next step of playing sanctioned tournaments or if they already are competing and are looking for additional play time. Organized by skill level, kids have the chance to gain additional play experience by rotation of opponents in short, continuous matches. Emphasis is placed on participation, effort and sportsmanship.
Organizers and Facilities can register Play Days now and the USTA has a template to make these events run smooth. When a facility registers, they will receive:
•Starter Kit for first Play Day
•Discounts on Play Day awards and prizes
•Downloadable participant certificates
•Downloadable draw sheets, flyer and organizer materials
