NOTE: If your name does not appear on the Early-Start Rating list, then your rating has not changed and you will maintain your last rating.
The early-start ratings are published in August for the sole purpose of establishing a rating for those players who plan to play during the 2012 USTA League season which may begin play as early as August 2011.
The ratings apply ONLY to those individuals who are playing in EARLY START PROGRAMS and DO NOT apply to those players participating in leagues which begin play after January 1, 2012. It is important to note that this is not your final rating for the 2011 USTA League season. We will be publishing the year-end ratings for all players in November.

I am not listed, why? This list only contains those players who were either self-rated this season OR were bumped up or down. If you are not listed that means you maintain your previous rating. To search for someone NOT listed here, please go to http://national.usta.com and link to the search page.
What do these ratings include? These ratings include only league results, except mixed doubles. It does not include sanctioned tournaments.
What level can I play at sanctioned tournaments? If you are a 4.0 player, but get a 4.5 early season rating, you can still play sanctioned tournaments as a 4.0 until next year or the end of year ratings come out.
What are the end of year ratings? The end of year ratings will include all league and sanctioned tournament results.
Can I appeal my rating up? Yes, if you are within the allowable range and appeal your rating, you will be moved up. However, no phone calls will be accepted.
How do I appeal my rating down? If you are playing in a Combined Rating program, please click HERE for the Official Appeal Form. If you are registering for a program that uses straight levels, you must appeal online by going to http://tennislink.usta.com/leagues/, click Register for a Team, enter your team ID and your USTA Number in the appropriate fields.
You will get a note that your rating is too high for the team entered and will see the option to appeal your rating. When you do appeal, the system will immediately determine whether you are within the allowable range. If your appeal is granted, it will be automatically and immediately changed. If denied, then your appeal cannot be granted.
How do I appeal my Early Start Rating?
Please note that if you are not participating in an Early Start League, you do not need to appeal your rating at this time.
For those players who are participating in Early Start Leagues, please use the appropriate appeal method as it is dependent on the League that you are registering in.
Automated Appeals: For those players registering on an Adult or Senior Early Start League team, you must utilize the Automated Appeal feature in Tennis Link. To use this, you will need the team number at the level you are appealing to (provided by your captain or Local League Coordinator) and your USTA number.
Go to http://tennislink.usta.com/leagues/ and click 'Register for a Team'. Enter your USTA Number and your team number and click Next Step. The system will give you a message that your rating exceeds the allowable limit for that team and will give you a link to appeal your rating. Click the link and the system will advise you if your appeal is granted or rejected.
Manual Appeals: For those players registering on a Mixed Doubles, Senior Mixed Doubles, Super Senior or any League Program that utilizes a combined Rating format (7.0 Super Senior for example) we must process your appeal manually. Please download the form below and fax your signed and completed form to the USTA Southwest Section office.
