USTA Southwest Annual Awards and Hall of Fame
Each year the USTA Southwest annually honors the volunteers, organizations, programs and members who have done an outstanding job on the court and off to help promote our great sport. Help us nominate worthy award winners by submitting your nominations for the awards given out each year by USTA Southwest (see list below) at the USTA Southwest Annual Conference.
Awards are given out each year during the USTA Southwest's Annual Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet.
This year's 2009 USTA Southwest Annual Meeting will be held Nov. 20-21 in Phoenix, Ariz. (at Dave & Buster's in Desert Ridge).
Process for USTA Southwest Annual Awards: USTA members and organizations are encouraged to nominate potential candidates for respective awards by August 15 of each calendar year (submissions sent to District after that date will be reviewed for the following year's awards).
After this date, award nominations will then be compiled and chosen by the respective District to be considered for the Section Award. Each chartered USTA Southwest District will then submit ONE nomination for each of the Southwest Section Awards (listed below to the Section office) to be considered by the USTA Section Awards Committee for the Annual Award.
Criteria: Each Section award below has the criteria listed. When nominating a person or organization from your respective area, please keep in mind the requirements and eligibility of your candidate. Invalid or incomplete nominations will not be accepted.
Timetable: Awards are due each year to District Award Contacts from each area (see list below) by AUGUST 15.
Filling out information: Each award below is hyperlinked with the criteria and the application form. Please review the form, and to submit --type in the fields of documents, save file, and send to your area's District Award Chairs via e-mail or regular mail for them to compile. Please fill out each awards form with complete and detailed information, as that allows the committee to make informed choices on award winners.
