Tournaments
Are you more the weekend warrior type, or do you just prefer old school, one-on-one warfare instead of team-based play. USTA Southwest holds tournaments across the Section throughout the year for players in NTRP levels and age divisions, including wheelchair divisions at a few select tournaments.
Age division play gives you chance to get a Section RANKING and, possibly even a national ranking.
Tournaments typically take place from Friday-Sunday of many weekends throughout the year, though it varies by tournament.
The Southwest holds an annual points chase in age divisions to determine the top-ranked players in each age group, with some tournaments categorized at higher points levels than others. With players playing many events throughout the year and chasing points to be the best in their divisions, it can get pretty competitive. Some tournaments at the Open level even offer prize money!
