If you're looking for play opportunities and the chance to get out and meet new people, tournaments are a great way to do that. Many are held during the end of weeks and during weekends, and they are a great social experience as well as a way to tune up your game quickly against age appropriate or level-appropriate competition.
Rankings are set for players who compete regularly. updated periodically, so click here to get your current yearly standing in your respective division. Always consult TENNISLINK, as it will have the most recently updated ranking list and available tournaments for you to play at the time.
Year-End Southwest Rankings
2012 Year-End Standings are listed on TennisLink for USTA Southwest by age group and open level play in singles, doubles and mixed divisions. These rankings lists are updated monthly so you can always see where you stand. Past years ratings are also listed below.
These lists are made to determine year-end player rankings as well as for seeding purposes in upcoming USTA Southwest tournaments throughout the year.
Below are the requirements on how to obtain a year-end tournament ranking for USTA Southwest.
Calendar of Events
USTA Southwest holds events throughout the year to allow tournament players the opportunity to achieve a ranking. With tournaments in a variety of locations across the Southwest. there is ample opportunity to earn a ranking. View the full 2013 Tournament List via TennisLink.
Adult Slam Series
USTA Southwest has begun a surface championship run of four events called the Adult Slam Series, which are tournaments played on four different surfaces (indoor, grass, clay and hard).
These tournaments are among the top events (held each year in the Southwest for rankings points, as well as a great way to try playing on different surfaces. To learn more about these events, click HERE.
Requirements for a USTA Southwest Ranking
To obtain an adult end-of-year ranking in the USTA Southwest Section, the only eligibility requirement for inclusion in the USTA Southwest rankings is to play three tournaments of the combination below:
---One Level I tournament + two other tournaments (for a minimum of three)
OR
---Two Level II Tournaments + one other may be substituted
*Final rankings will be based on the best of five tournaments played during the calendar year within the USTA Southwest.

NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS
National tournaments and even international tournaments (International Tennis Federation) are held across the United States and are a great opportunity for players to compete in their various age groups at the highest levels.
These tournaments are held throughout the year as well at various spots across the country as well as the globe. These are upper-echelon tournaments for age group division of play, but many are open to play. Check with each tournament to see if you qualify.

Notice Regarding Move Down Points: Points can only be awarded if the player already has results in his/her natural age division.
Otherwise, points will be awarded in the age division played.
