SCHEDULE OF PLAY
Several of the Southwest's best collegiate, co-ed club teams will make their way towards Las Cruces, N.M. on Valentine's Day weekend for the Tennis on Campus Championships - USTA Southwest, held at the New Mexico State University Tennis Center.
The two-day event, held February 12-13, is not only for Section supremacy for another year, but is an automatic qualifier into the 2016 USTA Tennis on Campus - National Championships, held April 14-16 in Cary, NC.
The top two schools at the Section Championships receive invitations to the USTA Tennis on Campus National Championships
Last year's champion University of Arizona (five titles in six years) will be back to defend their town, with a host of other schools including Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, Grand Canyon University, University of New Mexico, University of Texas-El Paso and the host New Mexico State University - all chasing them to try to earn that coveted national championship slot.
A tentative schedule will be released in early-February for the USTA Southwest Tennis on Campus Championships and a final schedule will be handed out at the captain's meeting on the first day of play. Please be advised the schedule could change depending on weather. Keep checking back for schedule releases to this page.
Each school is allowed to register two teams of eight players for the Tennis on Campus Championships-Southwest, and must register now until the Tuesday, February 2 deadline to get entered.
A registration fee of $150 is required of all teams participating, as is a Team Registration Form
A Liability and Waiver Form is also required for participation of all players (sent via faxed form to 480-289-2701 or via email to Tournament Director Laura Stussie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each captain should also mail their team's $150 entry fee made out to "USTA Southwest" to the Section office, c/o tournament director Laura Stussie at:

The World TeamTennis format consisting of a 6-game short set (first to 6 games win by two, or a 9-point tiebreaker at 5-all) in each line of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Team match winners are determined by a games-won format (total won). Award ceremony and trophy presentation will be held on the final day for the final two teams.
The host site for this year’s 2016 USTA Southwest Tennis on Campus Championships will be the New Mexico State University Tennis Center.
The facility is the largest tennis facility in Las Cruces, with 12 courts, and has been a past host of section championship events like the Jr. Team Tennis Championships and the Tennis on Campus Championships (2009-10).
